From Andrea
To the Editor:

I am writing today to state my candidacy for Bedford School Board. I became a resident in 2016 after having taught at Memorial Elementary for over a decade. While teaching in our town, I witnessed the great things that were happening in our schools every day and wanted my own children to be part of this. My children are now at Riddle Brook Elementary and Lurgio Middle School. I continue to be in awe of the talented teachers and opportunities that our public school system provides its residents.

My career path took me from teaching elementary students to teaching and working in higher education. Though I maintain my dual certification in Elementary Education and General Special Education, I now work for a graduate education program at Southern New Hampshire University. In my position, I have the opportunity to work with aspiring teachers, experienced educators and administrators in many school districts. My work in higher education provides me with a perspective of what education looks like outside of Bedford. It gives me the opportunity to keep up to date on current trends and issues in education and how they affect teachers and students. Unlike other candidates, it gives me the unique background I would need as a board member to make informed, thoughtful decisions about the education of Bedford students.

If you ask anyone in town why they moved to Bedford, more often than not, the answer will be about the schools. The schools are the heartbeat of our town. Our schools attract and keep people and businesses in town. That is why maintaining a high-quality education should be a priority for our school board. This happens by retaining and attracting highly qualified educators and administrators. They are the backbone of our schools. This also happens when a school board is thoughtful, experienced, and willing to listen to the community. With my background and history of dedication to Bedford students, I will bring a new perspective to the school board.

Our school community has faced challenging times over the past two years and things don’t seem to be getting any easier. What we need right now is a board that can support our schools with common sense and measured decision making.

I would be honored to serve on the board and help make these decisions, which is why I am asking for your vote for School Board on March 8th.

Andrea Campbell's insight, qualifications are good fit for School Board
To the Editor:
I am really excited that Andrea Campbell is running for the Bedford School Board. She has a unique set of qualifications that make her the perfect fit for our town. To start, Andrea is a resident with two children in the Bedford School District - one at Riddle Brook and one at Lurgio. This gives her direct insight into what students are actually studying and learning at school. As a parent, she has a vested interest that our schools are delivering the highest quality product available. As a taxpayer, she has a vested interest in making sure that our school system is managed in the most prudent way possible, while still maintaining the standards that have made Bedford one of the most desired communities to live and work in the state. Let’s face it - one of the main things people look for when moving is a quality school district - and our property values reflect that.
But Andrea’s qualifications go much deeper than that. She taught for years at Memorial School right here in Bedford. So not only does she understand education from the receiving end as a parent, she also understands what is needed to actually create and deliver a good education as an educator. As an educator, she’s also listened and responded to many parents. I know Andrea would be responsive to constituents in the same thoughtful way.
That’s not all. Andrea currently works at SNHU in their graduate education program, training teachers of the future. This has given her exposure to other districts in the state and an insight that none of the other candidates possess. It will allow her to take a more critical view when looking at proposed ideas and expenditures. Her frame of reference will always be what will most improve the education of students in Bedford in the most efficient, verifiable, and cost effective manner.
There are four questions you should ask about any School Board candidate:
Are they knowledgeable about public schools?
Are they genuinely interested in improving public schools?
Do they have a commitment to serving the public?
Do they have a commitment to public education?
Andrea Campbell can answer YES to all of these. Please vote for her for School Board.

Andrea Campbell knows what teachers, students and families need
To the Editor:
Dear Residents of Bedford,
It is my pleasure to offer an enthusiastic endorsement of Andrea Campbell, candidate for the Bedford School Board, on March 8th.
I have been a resident of Bedford for over ten years with two boys in the Bedford schools. Over the years I have volunteered in their schools and currently work as a youth suicide prevention educator in schools across the state. As a result of these experiences, I understand deeply that schools are not simply a place where Math, English and Science are taught, they are so much more.
The reason I will vote for Andrea is rooted in her experience in the school system. Andrea is an exceptional choice because she knows what teachers, students and families need to not just learn at school but to thrive. Andrea is a former educator, current PhD supervisor at SNHU, and involved parent and community member; a skillset that is perfect for this position.
Bedford needs Andrea’s strong and measured voice to help lead our school community.
I hope that you join me in voting for Andrea Campbell on March 8th.

Andrea Campbell will preserve schools' excellence
To the Editor:
Andrea Campbell is a superb candidate for the Bedford School Board. She taught at Memorial School in Bedford for many years, and now works at SNHU teaching, training and supervising students. I believe that her experience and knowledge are what’s needed to keep our schools competitive, while providing a nurturing, positive environment for our children. She is levelheaded, reasonable and understands that teachers are well trained professionals. They are the key to educating our children in an intellectually honest way.
In 1984 we decided to move to Bedford to raise our family. Paramount in making that decision was the reputation of the Bedford public schools. As a reading specialist, I was determined to find a town that valued education so that our children would have the opportunity to thrive and grow into responsible, questioning, independent thinking young adults. There are many hurdles facing our schools and I believe that Andrea Campbell has the expertise and work ethic to tackle any issue that may arise. Andrea Campbell will work hard to maintain our schools' reputation of excellence.
I am confident that she will be an impactful member of our School Board and she has my vote. I hope you'll give her your vote as well.
